Hello
Bitboarders,
My name is
Erica DeLong, 22 from Raleigh, North Carolina and I am proud
to be the Bitboard Producer. I met several of you at BFD this past March. I’m
fairly new to the industry. I started as an intern with “The Showgram” formerly known
as “The Bob and Madison Showgram” when I was a sophomore
in college. I
landed the gig when I was just a junior as a Producer and an
on-air personality.
I love radio,
and I plan on sticking around for a while.
The reports are
looking great…even with all the summer vacations going
on. Some of you
may have already seen my “Erica Notes.”
Please feel free to write me anytime; I will be more
than happy to help you in any way that I can.
I’m with Premiere Radio Network in the New York office.
If you’re ever in NYC, be sure to call me and we’ll
hit the town for a drink or a 20$ burger in Times Square!
Thanks and
glad to be a part of the family!

And of course you know...

Hey y’all…
I would state
my age as Erica did; however, I’m not going to because it will
change long before this webpage ever will!
Although I’m
celebrating my 10 year anniversary with Bitboard this October, I
got my start dealing with radio talent in1987 when Don Anthony,
at Talentmaster’s rescued me away from my long hours as a
restaurant manager to help him begin a little conference he
called Morning Show Boot
Camp. Even after being gone 10 years, I still get
e-mails from people asking me why I never sent them current
registration rates and dates.
It was at Boot
Camp where I met Kidd and his producer, JB Hager who were
starting up Bitboard; as well as many of you who eventually
became Bitboard members. Although I thankfully wasn’t living in
Dallas when they began Bitboard in their underwear; I joined
them shortly afterwards when they could once again afford
clothing.
I’ve seen many
changes on Bitboard over the last 10 years; but, the one thing
that remains constant is that Philip, Harmon, Erica and I all
really want to see you all succeed and will do whatever possible
to help you make that happen. My favorite thing about the
service is that I’ve seen people that didn’t know each other
well form some wonderful friendships by sharing their lives each
week through their reports and meeting each year at Bitboard’s
conference-BFD, Boot Camp, CMA’s and other gatherings.
If you ever
need anything, know that you can call us day or night and we’ll
be around to help you. You’ve seen where we live, we have
nothing better to do!

  Hey
you goons! I'm Philip,
and I just got my membership application from AARP (that
should tell you my age without me saying it!). I'm the
webmaster and senior prep editor of this here 'ol
BitBoard. I'm from Texas and amazingly I still live
here! I've never been IN radio - although I've been told
many times I have the face for it! (that IS a
compliment, isn't it? HA!) I've been happily
bringing you guys the prep since 1997. Mr. Kraddick
first lured me in in 1996 by my winning a contest to do the
site for his morning show. The prize? A
T-Shirt!! How stupid was I back in those days???
And to top that, I never even got the T-Shirt!!! Anyway,
I guess he liked me, and he showed me the world of BitBoard
after about a year (had to figure out if I was a stalker or
something). He asked "Would you like to do
this?" I said "Absof*ckinlutely! But not
for the $3.18 per hour you're wanting to pay!!" LOL!
But I caved in and took it... I've
met a lot of you at BFD through the years .. that's the only
time they send me the key to this lock. But even though
I've never met many of you, I feel like I know you through
your reports and our correspondence. And you're SCARY!!!
LOL!! Seriously, I love
my job and I love dealing with all of you swollen-egoed,
psychotic bastards and bastardettes... oh.. and the nice ones
too! Sure beats my previous life of being a banker! I'm
in rural east bumfukt Texas in a town named Gun Barrel
City. As you can imagine... I fit in PERFECTLY!
HA!!!! I have a cowboy hat that I don and jump in my '64
Chevy stepside pickup to go into town and try to fit in.
Anything to hide this cakeboy that lives on a lake, works at
home, watches the ducks while he's working, and of course
never misses figure skating competitions, beauty pageants, or
an episode of Springer! LOL! email

Hello GaGa
fans..
One of the Original members of Bitboard.. I was part of Harmon
and Evans at KPLX in Dallas for almost 10 years. I won the
CMA DJ of the Year, and am a 3x Billboard Magazine DJ of the
Year. I stumbled into this BitBoard Family while producing
Kidd Kraddick at KHKS-Dallas in October 1996 and never left.
For the last 2 years I've been back home in Fort Worth doing
Mornings for 95-9 The Ranch in Beautiful Sundance Square with
longtime Texas Lawyer "Heywood", and continue to write the Radio
GaGa section of Bitboard's Homepage while helping Radio friends
find their next job.
I am
married to Becky and we have a son Graham.
Send your
radio accolades or firings great award press to stevesgaga@aol.com.
And, if you need an ear for your demo, an eye for your resume
package ..or some hints on what's open & where .. send your need
to me ... somehow I seem to find people jobs - while not
charging to do it!! <No good deed goes unpunished...do it
anyway. Harmon>
